Celebrations are
part of my story.
I’m Doris Colella, wedding and event planner since 2009. I enjoy the moment when a collection of ideas becomes a plan that feels right for the people behind it. My work is to guide that process and carry it through to the celebration.
We start with your priorities: what matters most, where you can be flexible and what you want to spend. I help connect those answers to practical choices before you commit to venues and suppliers.
Based in Varese, I work throughout Italy and Switzerland. You can ask me to plan the whole event or coordinate a celebration you have already begun organising.
My story
Experience built behind the scenes.
I began working with caterers at 19, between Lombardy, Piedmont and Switzerland. Preparing spaces, following service timings and welcoming guests taught me to see a celebration from the perspective of the people making it happen.
I founded Doris’Events in 2009 and opened my wedding-favour shop in Varese in 2013. Doris Bomboniere and Codos Design bring a further focus on personalised pieces, from keepsakes to details for brands and events.
How I work
Clear choices. Personal celebrations.
If you have many ideas, we identify the ones that matter most and compare them with the budget. If you have suppliers already, we work from their agreements and clarify the timings, responsibilities and preparation still needed.
When guests travel from afar, I also think about where they will stay and how they will reach the celebration. I research accommodation and coordinate transfers with the appointed providers, with costs and booking responsibilities agreed beforehand.
I also write books for children and adults, including Da Sogno a Evento and Il Matrimonio Perfetto. Writing is another way I give shape to ideas and experiences.
